Group
Health Insurance
If you own a business
with two employees—that would include a sole proprietor with one
employee (employer + one employee)—or more, and less than fifty
employees you qualify for guaranteed issued group insurance benefits and
rates in California.
Interestingly, groups
with over fifty employees do not have the same protections as the smaller
employer groups. Insurance companies can decline larger groups based upon
health and occupation considerations.
This office can explain
the various plans, PPO (preferred provider organization) and HMO (health
maintenance organization), currently available in California.
We can help you decide which best meets your business needs and
what are the costs involved.
Additionally, we can help
you implement a Section 125 Plan which reduces the “net” cost for your
employees to participate in paying for coverage.
If you are a small group
employer seeking a proposal on your health, dental, or life insurance
options send us a census with the following information and we will
prepare a comprehensive proposal for you.
